Are Eggs Paleo? Yes


Eggs are among the most nutritious foods you can eat. Calcium, iron, selenium, and choline are just some of the nutrients eggs provide that are necessary for our health. Many Americans aren’t getting enough of these nutrients, leading to deficiency and disease. Choline, for example, is a key component of fat-containing structures in cell membranes, while selenium is thought to prevent cancer.

Paleo Breakfast

Many people complain about the limitations imposed on Paleo breakfast. Those of us who have become accustomed to cereal might have a hard time making the switch, but it doesn’t have to be difficult. Eggs are delicious and good for you, and there are so many different ways that you can make them. Scramble them and mix them with any number of vegetables for a tasty omelette. Try them boiled or poached and add them to your salad, or fry one up and throw it on top of a burger. The possibilities are endless.

Paleo and Organics

As is usually the case with Paleo, we advise consuming organic, pastured eggs whenever possible. This way, you get all the benefits of a chicken that has been consuming a diet rich in nutrients. You’ll be able to tell the difference just by looking at the yolk, not to mention the taste! If you can’t find or afford pastured eggs, don’t sweat it. Go for the organic eggs, and if you can’t get those, just eat eggs. You’ll still be doing better than if you had grabbed a bagel.
