Anaheim peppers fall squarely in the “plants” section of the Paleo lifestyle, which includes eating “plants, animals, nuts and seeds”. They are a mild form of the chili pepper and they are generally grown in California and New Mexico.

However, peppers are nightshades, and despite having the Paleo seal of approval, nightshades do tend to cause problems for some people with autoimmune issues.
