Garlic powder is just garlic that has been dehydrated and stored in a jar. It’s an excellent way to add great flavor to any dish (appetizer, main course, and side dish can all benefit from a little garlic). It has proven health benefits, but they usually involve extremely high quantities of garlic – more than the average person is ever likely to consume by flavoring their food.

It certainly can’t hurt though, and if you do get the urge to eat garlic powder by the spoonful, go for it. You’ll be getting a hefty dose of vitamins and minerals, not to mention sulfur.
